Prophecy is God speaking into the heart and
mind of one person, and saying “give this message to ...”
A prophet’s audience could be one person or
it could be a whole nation. A prophet’s message could be about the future, an
explanation that clears up a mystery, or an affirmation of something everyone
already knows. If God says “go and tell Hartford, CT that I love them” it is
still prophecy. It is what Hartford needs
to know and what God wants to tell them.
